You can customize study list columns to provide you with the most useful information.

As explained in Customizing study list and other columns, you can define which columns are displayed in search and other study lists. The purpose of most columns is straightforward, but some require additional explanation.

Column nameMeaning
Accession numberAccession number (a unique ID or job number that is generated by the hospital RIS) on the requested procedure. The accession number is used for tracking each exam and its corresponding patient name, date, and exam type.
Accession number (order level)The order filler number, which is sometimes the same as the accession number on the requested procedure.
Addendum modification dateAs addenda cannot be modified, this column contains the date that the addendum was created.
Current roomThe patient room, as defined in HL7.
Image availabilityAn icon that represents image availability.
  • No icon—Studies are in the local cache or in a location with fast download speed; or images for the study have not yet been sent to Enterprise Imaging.
  • Moderate speed—Studies are in a location with moderate download speed.
  • —Studies are in a location with slow download speed.
  • Offline—Study is offline; that is, archived on media that is not currently available.
  • Unavailable—Images are no longer available in Enterprise Imaging.
  • Loading—Images for the study are being downloaded.
  • Failed loading—Downloading of the images has failed.
Patient ageCurrent patient age.
Patient age at acquisitionAge the patient was when the study was acquired.
Patient ideographic name Ideographic names use pictographic characters, not alphabetic or phonetic characters. Applies to names using East Asian characters; column is blank otherwise.
Patient phonetic namePhonetic names represent words as they are spoken, not ideographic characters. Applies to names using East Asian characters; column is blank otherwise.
Reading physician nameThe reading physician is received via HL7. Tasks can be assigned to the reading physician, if known. If the task is reassigned, that user becomes the reading physician for the study. If a report has multiple authors, all are registered as authors, but only the last one is considered the reading physician.
Report authorSomeone who contributed to the report associated with the study.
Report statusOne of the possible report statuses, which are preliminary, partially validated, validated, and in conflict. If no report is available, the column is blank.
