Specify default options for saving from the Image area.

To set options for saving in the Image area
  1. Select Tools > Options.
  2. In the Options dialog, click Images. Images
  3. Switch to the Save tab.
  4. To configure how snapshots are saved, select one of the following:
    OptionsWhen selected
    Keep snapshots of all opened studies

    Snapshots are created and applied to studies currently opened for the user on the workstation. The state of tasks that are not paused is stored to a local disk and is automatically deleted by the system after a certain period of time. The state of tasks that are paused is not removed and can be accessed from different workstations.

    Only keep snapshots of studies when pausing a task

    Snapshots are restored only when resuming tasks. Other studies are always shown with the latest presentation state applied. The state of paused tasks gets removed as soon it is applied and is no longer required as the task is no longer paused.

  5. From the following lists, specify how to save changes in these areas on closing the Image area or moving to another patient.

    Options include Yes (save automatically), Ask me (prompt whether to save), and No (do not save).

    • Markups
    • Visible area (zoom and pan)
    • Window level
    • Flip/rotate
  6. From the Save new options for list, select User, Desktop profile, or This session only.

    User is the default; it sets the options for this and future sessions. Desktop profile, if available, set the options for all users of that desktop profile, except where overridden by user options.

  7. Click Save or Save & close.
