You can define dictation control options such as acoustic feedback, voice-operated recording, and playback speed in the Text area.
To set options for dictation controls
- Select .
- In the Options dialog, click Text.
- Switch to the Dictation controls
tab and select appropriate values for each option.
Option Description Play sound while fast-forwarding or rewinding (monkey chatter) Select this checkbox to enable acoustic feedback while forwarding or rewinding the dictation Winding speed Defines a speed for rewind and fast-forward as a factor of Playback speed Voice Operated Recording (silences are not recorded) Select to enable recording being activated with the sound of a voice. When enabled, silences are not recorded. Use auto-backspace Enable this checkbox to select the extra number of seconds to rewind on playback - From the Save new options for list, select
User, Desktop
profile, or This session only.
User is the default; it sets the options for this and future sessions. Desktop profile, if available, set the options for all users of that desktop profile, except where overridden by user options.
- Click Save or Save & close.
