Admonitions convey useful or cautionary information that is set apart from running text with the use of a standardized icon and border lines.
Agfa technical documentation uses five admonitions. The meaning for each type is described in the section that follows. The technical documentation might not contain all of the admonition types described.
Meaning and purpose
![]() | Tip: Provides related, but not imperative, information, such as time-savers or alternate methods for completing a task. |
![]() | Note: Highlights useful, but not imperative, information. |
![]() | Important! Describes information more crucial than a note, but will not cause damage to hardware or software or injury to people if ignored. |
![]() | CAUTION! Indicates a hazardous situation that can lead to potential minor injury to a user, engineer, patient, or any other person. |
![]() | WARNING! Indicates a hazardous situation that can lead to potential serious injury to a user, engineer, patient, or any other person. |
