Creating report addendaTopic number: 1425415005555
Adjust a validated report by creating an addendum. You can do so after obtaining new information about the patient that modifies your diagnosis, such as new laboratory tests, images, or comments from requesting physician.
You can perform the addendum reading yourself or assign this task to a colleague. You can create addenda for validated reports only.
- To perform the addendum reading yourself:
The report status changes depending on the addendum status.
When you complete an addendum task by clicking Sign off later, To reviewer, To correctionist, or To transcriptionist, the report is saved and its status is Preliminary. However, since the study has the previously validated report and the preliminary addendum, it can be found in the Search area by validated and preliminary status.
When you sign off an addendum, it is validated and the report status is set to Validated. Then the report can be found in the Search area only by validated statuses.
- To assign an addendum reading task to a colleague:
- Can access Search area
- Can cancel reading tasks (optional)
- Can create correction tasks (optional)
- Can sign off reports
- Can start addendum reading tasks
- Can start reading tasks
- Can start signoff tasks if the author wants the ability to “sign off later”, or to send the report to a correctionist or transcriptionist.
