Sign off a report to validate it.
- In your To do list, look for
sign-off tasks assigned to you.
Sign-off tasks are indicated with a pencil icon.
While performing a sign-off task, you can link and unlink studies from the report by selecting and clearing the checkboxes of studies.
- To start the sign-off task, right-click this task and select Start sign-off.
- Do one of the following:
- To validate the report, click Sign off.
- To validate the report and print it immediately, use the menu
control and select Sign off and print.
The report is sent to the default printer.
If, in a multi-author reading workflow, you are not the last author of the report, a warning message is displayed asking whether you want sign off the report instead of sending it to a co-author.
The report is now validated.
![]() | Note: When you view a validated report, data in the fields that have been added to the report template by the administrator is taken from the values available at the time of report rendering. If the data is updated after the report was validated (for example, the patient name changed after marriage), you see the new data in the report. Data in autofill data fields in report sections does not change, even if the values have changed in the system since report validation. |
