Displaying study information: ConceptsTopic number: 1425411925789

For each study linked to the task, a Study tab (this tab has the name of a procedure) is displayed in the Text area. This tab combines order and study information. This information is repeated for each study linked to the same order.

To configure the data fields that are displayed in these tabs, right-click on the Study tab page and select Customize fields.

From the Customize fields dialog, you can also add attachments, such as PDF and voice attachments, hyperlinks, and various types of text attachments (for example, technologist comments or study comments).

The following table describes the most common fields and attachments available on the Study tab.

Field nameDetails
Scanned orderLaunches a Scanned Order tab where a scanned order is shown or can be added.
Reason for studyReason for study is information that must be reviewed before starting a reading task. This information can be provided in the scanned order, but it can also be typed in the Reason for study attachment.

The attachment can also be fed through connectivity.

Clinical infoClinical information contains information about a patient’s clinical history. This information can be provided in the scanned order, but it can also be typed in the Clinical info attachment.

The attachment can also be fed through connectivity.

Patient location at acquisitionThis value is copied from the current patient location when the first performed procedure step (PPS) is set to completed. If the images are received after PPS complete, the value is not overwritten. If PPS complete is received after image arrival, the value is overwritten.
Patient type at acquisitionThis value is copied from the current patient type when the first PPS is set to completed. If the images are received after the PPS has been completed, the value is not overwritten.
Acquisition roomThe room is queried from each PPS. Each procedure can have multiple room values.
Modality typesMultiple values are possible.
Study date/timeThis study date and time is taken:
  • From the performed procedure date (date and time of the first PPS)
  • From the scheduled procedure date, if the performed procedure date is not available
  • From the order creation date, if the scheduled procedure date and the performed procedure date are not available

The same logic is used for displaying the study date and time in the page title. For example, Reading - 2019-03-15, 02:17 PM (when you perform a reading task for one study) or Study - 2019-03-15, 02:17 PM (when you view one study).

However, when multiple active studies are opened in the Text area, the study time is never displayed in the page title. Instead, the study date is taken:

  • From the performed procedure date, if it is the same for all studies

For example, Reading - Multiple studies - 2019-03-15

  • From the order creation date, if the studies have different performed procedure dates, but the same order creation date

If multiple active studies have different performed procedure dates and order creation dates but the same scheduled procedure date, no study date is displayed in the page title. For example, Reading - Multiple studies.

Note:

The value in the Study date column in the List and Search area is taken only from the performed procedure date. If the performed study date is not available, the column is empty.

In the Image area, the study date and time displayed on the header for each study on the Clinical sidebar comes from the response to a DICOM query.

Dates and time displayed in viewports in the Image area are configured by your administrator. For example, these can be performed procedure date, acquisition date, verification date, and others.

On the QC page, values in the Study date/time column and in the Study date field are taken from the performed procedure date.

Acquisition station Station name
Body partsThey are queried from the procedure definition level. Multiple values are possible.
Baseline studyThe checkbox can be selected at any time. When selected, an icon appears for the selected study in the baseline study column of the active and comparison studies lists. A stamp is added with the name of the user who selected the study as a baseline study and the date and time this was done.
Acquisition Launches an Acquisition tab showing details of the acquisition.
HistoryLaunches a History tab, showing all previous tasks, who performed them, and when.
