Adding studies for comparisonTopic number: 1433413422727

You can add studies for comparison with the active study.

The Comparison or All studies tab contains all internal comparison studies for the active patient, except for canceled studies that do not have a report or images. The text of canceled comparison studies with a report or images and discontinued comparison studies is struck through.

You can add additional studies for comparison, either from the same patient or from a different patient. Additional studies can be from internal or external search locations, or from a combination of both (Enterprise search).

To add studies for comparison
  1. From the List area or To do list, open a study.
  2. Next to the Comparison or All studies tab, click the + icon.
  3. Choose the search location, then specify the search criteria and click Search.
  4. To open a study for comparison, do one of the following:
    • Right-click a study and select Open to compare.
    • Select a study and, from the top toolbar, click Open to compare.

The study tab is opened in the Text area. Corresponding images are opened in the Image area to compare with the images of the active study.

    Important!

When you add a comparison study for a patient who is different from the active patient, the patient, report and study information, and image study stamp are marked in red.

  5. To add more studies, click the + icon, then click Add more.

Tip:

To automatically display comparison studies obtained at other hospitals or at different sites (from external search locations), select Tools > Options, Text, View tab, then define criteria matching for the active study and the comparison studies, and a search location.
