You can consult studies and compare them to the active ones.
- Displaying study information: Concepts
  For each study linked to the task, a Study tab (this tab has the name of a procedure) is displayed in the Text area. This tab combines order and study information. This information is repeated for each study linked to the same order.
- Studies and security
  Your security roles determine what patient health information you see, which actions you are allowed to perform, and what configuration you can do. Your job titles, specialties, or task assignment groups have no influence on this.
- Patient and study confidentiality
  All patient data, or specific studies for a patient, can be marked confidential.
- Study verification statuses
  A study can have one of the following verification statuses: Verified, Failed verification, and No verification.
- Adding studies for comparison
  You can add studies for comparison with the active study.
- Showing additional comparison studies automatically
  You can configure comparison studies obtained at other hospitals or at different sites to be preselected and shown automatically for the active study.

  Various icons can appear in the Active and Comparison studies list.

  When you compare the images of different studies, the images are displayed on the available monitors.
- Navigating through studies and tasks
  After opening a study or task list or starting a task list, you can view studies in the Text and Image areas. These areas have the list control that allows you to select specific items from the list.
- Canceling procedures in orders
  You can cancel procedures from the Text area.
- Importing external studies
  You can import external studies into Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging from locations such as PACS archives, network drives, and DICOM devices or from an Enterprise search across multiple external systems.
- Adding, modifying, and removing documents
  You can add documents such as appointment letters, brochures, illustrations, and questionnaires to a study from a scanner, file, or catalog. You can then print them, get them filled in by patients, or share them with patients as needed, and upload new versions of these documents.
- Adding or modifying billing codes and modifiers
  You can add or modify billing codes and modifiers in the Billing field of the Text area.
- Importing images
  You can add images from a local or external source by importing them to the currently selected study or to a new order.
- Collection lists: Concepts
  A collection list is a container where you can add shortcuts to studies for your personal reference, such as to group studies for further research.
- Adding studies to a collection list
  Add studies to a collection list to make a list of studies for follow up. You can also remove and clear all items from a collection list.
- Marking studies as baseline studies
  Mark a study as a baseline study when it is the first study where a certain pathology, lesion, or syndrome was seen. By comparing the most recent study with the baseline study, you can determine disease evolution, treatment response, and overall evolution in time.
- Associating diagnostic codes with studies
  You can associate one or more diagnostic codes with the study or studies linked to a diagnostic report to communicate diagnostic findings in a structured way.
- Adding and modifying products
  The products that will be used for a procedure are specified for each step in the Procedure plan. You can register and add products.
Processing orders
Order information provides procedural details relating to images being taken.
Printing procedures and study labels
You can print selected procedures as well as the study label with a barcode.
Working with procedure plans
View, modify, and switch procedure plans.
Managing attachments
Use attachments to collect and communicate additional information about the patient, study, order, report, or procedure.
Reporting
Learn how to consult patient data, and work with reports to create your diagnosis.
Reading images
To view and analyze images, use the Image area tools.
Learning and improvement
Peer learning workflows and teaching files can be used within Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging.
Scheduling events in the Calendar
Review scheduled procedures and conference sessions in the Calendar.
Radiation management
You can keep track of the total amount of radiation a patient has received.
Performing quality control
Quality control is a process of aligning the data about patients with their images, which come from different sources. Quality control is an automatic step in the unverified study workflow, but it can also be performed manually.
Accessing desktop integrations from client desktops
You can access and use third-party applications that are integrated with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging from client desktops.
Finding studies
To find studies, use either the simple or the advanced search interface.
Customizing the desktop look and feel options
Define Collaborator, list, and search options at the user, desktop, or system level.
Maintaining security and access
In Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging, sets of access-controlled features are combined into permission sets. One or more permission sets are included security roles. Security roles are assigned to users.
Troubleshooting: Log files and known limitations
Use system log files supplied with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging for basic troubleshooting.
Keyboard shortcuts
Use the keyboard shortcuts for quick access to your everyday tasks.
Testing the connection speed
Your administrator might ask you to communicate the bandwidth and latency values to optimize the configuration for your workstation in Administrator desktop.

Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging and related viewing applications have specific indications for use.

When you compare the images of different studies, the images are displayed on the available monitors.

Available monitors	Where are the images displayed?
If you work on a 1-monitor workstation	The images of the active study are displayed on the left half of the screen. The images of the study for comparison are displayed on the right half of the screen.
If you work on a 2-monitor workstation	The images of the active study are displayed on the left-hand monitor. The images of the study for comparison are displayed on the right-hand monitor.
If you work on a 3-monitor workstation	The List/Text area always are displayed on the first monitor Images for the active study and comparison studies are displayed in the other two monitors
If you work on a 4-monitor workstation	The images of the active study are displayed on the two left-hand monitors. The images of the study for comparison are displayed on the two right-hand monitors.

Tip:

If you are using multiple monitors, you can also use the Clinical sidebar to display images ad hoc in the List/Text area monitor without needing to configure hanging protocols. See Displaying images on the List/Text area monitor.
