You can associate one or more diagnostic codes with the study or studies linked to a diagnostic report to communicate diagnostic findings in a structured way.

To associate diagnostic codes with studies
  1. To associate a diagnostic code with a study when the report sections can be edited;, for example, when performing a reading or sign-off task:
    1. If the Text macro panel is hidden, click the Text macros button and select Show matching text macros. Glasses Text macro
    2. In the Diagnostic codes field, (in the matching text macros panel) select one or more codes.
  2. To associate a diagnostic code with a study when the report sections cannot be edited; for example, when you open a study or a task:
    1. In the Text area, switch to the Study tab.
    2. In the Diagnostic codes field, select one or more codes.

      If the diagnostic codes field is hidden, you must add it.

Note:

  • If more than one diagnostic coding systems are defined, the default coding system is selected automatically. If needed, the user can manually select another coding system, and then select the codes.
  • If typing part of the code in the Diagnostic codes field to select the appropriate code from a list of suggestions, type at least three characters of the code you are looking for. Otherwise, the list of suggested codes is slow to appear.

The diagnostic code is associated with the study.
