Marking studies as baseline studiesTopic number: 1425412044042

Mark a study as a baseline study when it is the first study where a certain pathology, lesion, or syndrome was seen. By comparing the most recent study with the baseline study, you can determine disease evolution, treatment response, and overall evolution in time.

Baseline studies appear in the active and comparison study list for easy retrieval. Your administrator can configure relevancy rules in such a way that relevant comparison studies that are baseline studies are automatically added to the clinical side bar when starting a reading task.

To mark studies as baseline studies
  1. Do one of the following:
    • In the Text area, in the active or comparison study list, right-click the study and select Mark as baseline study.
    • In the Image area, click the patient banner. In the active or comparison study list, right-click the study and select Mark as baseline study.
    • Select the study tab and select the Baseline study checkbox.
    • In the EOL dialog, select the Baseline study checkbox.
  2. To unmark a study as a baseline study, right-click the study in the active or comparison list and select Unmark as baseline study.

You can also clear the Baseline study checkbox on the study tab or in the EOL dialog.

The study is marked or unmarked as a baseline study. In the active and comparison study list, an icon is shown beside each baseline study. If the icon is not shown, right-click the column header and configure the Baseline study column as visible. Multiple studies can be marked as baseline studies. Baseline
