Use the spine labeling tools to label the vertebrae or the intervertebral disks of the spine.

WARNING!

Labels created with the spine labeling tool for the spine, vertebrae, and intervertebral disks represent rough approximations. They must be verified for correctness.
Tool Description
Spine labeling Spine labeling Use this tool to manually mark the position of the vertebrae or disks.

To start manual spine labeling:

  1. In the Image area markup list, click Spine labeling. Spine labeling
  2. Select vertebra set, mode, direction, and starting point.
  3. Click Start to begin labeling.

Note:

Spine labeling must be done on at least two vertebrae or disks. Marking a single vertebra/disk is not supported. If you cancel labeling after just one label, the label is deleted.
Auto labeling Auto labeling This tool automatically calculates the position of vertebrae or disks.

To start automatic spine labeling:

  1. In the Image area markup list, click Auto labeling. Auto labeling
  2. Select vertebra set, mode, and starting point.
  3. Click Start to close the settings dialog and click the starting point (vertebra/disk) in one of the images to begin the automatic labeling.

Note:

Automatic labeling works only on CT series displayed with an MPR hanging protocol.
