Creating a shutterTopic number: 1425412371960

The rectangular shutter tool can be used to mask or black out portions of an image (usually the outer edges) so that a particular area is the focal point for viewing.

Note:

If an image already contains a shutter, you can toggle its visibility in the image context menu.
To create a shutter
  1. From the Image area top toolbar, click ROI tools > Shutter (Rectangle).
  2. Click to place the top left point defining the rectangular shutter.
  3. Move your pointer to determine the size of the shutter.

The area that will be masked is grayed out.

  4. Click to place the bottom right point of the rectangle, completing the shutter.

Any part of the image outside of the shutter is masked.

  5. Press Esc to deactivate the shutter tool.
