Showing and hiding patient demographicsTopic number: 1425412268792

Study images can be displayed with or without patient demographics.

CAUTION!

We do not recommend disabling all patient demographics in the Image area. Configuring the client so that no patient demographics are immediately visible in the Image area introduces a risk of misidentifying a patient.
To show or hide patient demographics
  1. To hide displayed demographics, from the top toolbar, click Show/hide demographics. Show/hide demographics

    Note:

Some older modalities burn demographics directly onto the image. In these cases, demographics cannot be hidden.

The patient demographics no longer appear on all images, and the demographics button changes to indicate the setting. Show/hide demographics

  2. To show demographics, click Show/hide demographics. Show/hide demographics

The patient demographics appear on all images, and the demographics button changes. Show/hide demographics

The printed and displayed demographic layouts are not necessarily the same. What you see on-screen is dictated by the Image area display options, while what you see on the hardcopy film is dictated by the Print options.

WARNING!

The image number in the lower right corner of the image can depend on the currently selected hanging protocol. In some cases the image number will not correspond with the image number from the modality. Do not rely only on the image number when referring to images in a report.
