Nuclear medicine: Applying color palettes Topic number: 1425412714270

With specific color lookup tables stored as window level presets, you can highlight certain features of a grayscale NM/PET study. You can further adjust the display with the nuclear medicine color bar.

For NM/PET studies the color bar on the right of the viewport and the specific color lookup table presets are automatically activated.

Note:

If the study contains patient body height and weight data, standardized uptake value (SUV) will be automatically calculated and shown as the value range. You can change the calculation method in the series toolbar at the bottom of the respective viewport.
To apply color palettes to nuclear medicine images
  1. Load a NM/PET study.
  2. In the Image area top toolbar, window level preset list, choose the appropriate color preset.
  3. To change the maximum value of the range, for which the color palette is applied, drag the top handle on the color bar.
  4. To change the minimum value of the range, for which the color palette is applied, drag the bottom handle on the color bar.
  5. Alternatively, you can also drag the image with the right mouse button to change the value range.
