The embedded browser enables you to browse for hyperlinks to embed in reports, orders, study, or patient information areas.

To browse the web and create hyperlink attachments
  1. If the attachment is not visible, follow these steps:
    1. Right-click anywhere on a tab in the Text area, and select Customize fields.
    2. In the Available data elements pane, select the attachment.
    3. To move the selection into the Displayed data elements pane, click the move arrow. Right arrow
    4. Click Save.

      If you cannot add a hyperlink, contact your system administrator to change your permissions or the attachment configuration settings.

  2. In the Text area, next to the attachment link, click the plus icon. Add link
  3. In the address bar of the browser, type the URL, and press Enter.
    Example:
    www.radiologyworld.com.

    Alternatively, click Favorites Star and select an item.

  4. To add the URL as a favorite, click the Add favorite icon. Add favorite
  5. To set the page as the Home page, select Home > Make this my home page.
  6. To add the link to a patient, report, order, or study, do the following:
    1. Click Add hyperlink to {patient | report | order | study . Linked
    2. Accept the displayed name or type another, and click OK.

    The hyperlink is added.

Required permissions:
  • Can add order level attachments
  • Can add patient level attachments
  • Can add report level attachments
  • Can add study level attachments
  • Can customize text fields for themselves only, Can customize text fields for themselves and their desktop profile, or Can customize text fields for all levels
  • Can delete order level attachments
  • Can view order level attachments
  • Can view patient level attachments
  • Can view report level attachments
  • Can view study level attachments
