To collect and communicate additional information about the patient, order, report, or study, use attachments. This includes information such as report text comments, images, hyperlinks, study keywords, and patient remarks.

To add and use attachments

Tip:

If an attachment is not displayed, right-click in a Text area pane and select Customize fields to add it.
  1. Navigate to where you want to add the attachment.
  2. Insert attachments as needed:
    Attachment typeMethod of inserting it
    Voice ClipProvided that the voice clip is configured to be added and deleted, click add +, record your clip, add a text title, and click OK.
    HyperlinksProvided that custom hyperlinks are configured, click add +, and, in the browser that is displayed, type a URL and click Add hyperlink to patient/report/order/study.
    KeywordProvided that keywords are configured, select values from the list or type a value in the auto-suggest box.
    PDF/ImageProvided that the PDF/image is configured to be added and deleted, click the browse icon in the image toolbar and navigate to the PDF or image to be inserted. Open

    For text attachments of type Message board, click add +, and type or edit the text.

    For text attachments of type Field, click in the text box and type or edit the text.

    If you have text attachments stored as favorites, you can select Insert favorite.

    User

    Start typing a name.

    Depending on a configuration, you can add only users who have an account in Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging, or both users with an account and contacts without an account.

  3. For video clip and text attachments, select whether to save it as Public (available to all users) or Private (available only to you).
You have now added an attachment

Note:

You cannot add report attachments to studies that do not have a report. When you create a report attachment, and the task containing the report is canceled, reassigned, or reset, the attachment is not saved, except in the case of an addendum reading task.
Required permissions:
  • Can view order level attachments
  • Can add order level attachments
  • Can view study level attachments
  • Can add study level attachments
  • Can view report level attachments
  • Can add report level attachments
  • Can view patient level attachments
  • Can add patient level attachments
  • Can customize text fields for themselves only, Can customize text fields for themselves and their desktop profile, or Can customize text fields for all levels
