Guidelines for configuring activities overviewsTopic number: 1582812869257

To ensure smooth retrieval of activities overviews, avoid using complex queries or too many search criteria for building task and study lists, add only tasks lists to the To do list, and use the same columns for viewing the To do and Follow-up lists in the List area.

To avoid slow retrieval of activities overviews, follow these guidelines:

Configuring lists

When defining search criteria for activities overviews lists:

  • Keep queries simple.
  • Limit the number of search criteria included.
  • Do not use the Keywords (all) search field for list queries. Instead, use separate search fields for specific keywords.

For example, if a list query uses the following search constraint:

Keywords (all) is not (Image quality) Poor

    Replace it with:

    Image quality is not Poor

  • Delete lists that are not in use.

See Creating a task or study list.

Configuring lists in activities overviews

When configuring lists in activities overviews:

  • If a list contains only studies, no tasks, then put it under Follow-up instead of To do.
  • Ensure that the most used activities overview is marked as your default so that you do not have to switch to a different activities overview every time you launch the application.

See Managing activities overviews.

Customizing columns

To facilitate the retrieval of information in the List area, use the same columns when viewing the To do, Follow-up, and other lists.

See Customizing study list and other columns.
