Merging patient data Topic number: 1425412065656
When external studies are imported, the system tries to match patient information in the external studies with existing patient information. If no match exists, a patient record is created, and the study is marked as an imported study that has unverified patient information.
In cases where the system cannot find a match for an imported external study, you can search for the study and manually merge in the existing patient information.
![]() | WARNING! Before importing studies, always check that they are associated with the correct patient. |
When you merge patient data, the system remembers the original patient data. If you import a study with patient data that matches either the original or existing patient data, the system merges the imported study automatically.
![]() | Important! These instructions describe only how to merge patient information for imported studies that contain unverified patient information.
