Organizing your work

- Workflow: How does it work?
  Tasks make up the task lists that then feed your activities overview.
  - Tasks: Type, priority, and status
    Tasks are individual jobs that form the basis of your workflow. They are generated automatically from common workflows, task assignment groups, and task assignment rules. Most tasks are created automatically; however, some are created as needed by users for a specific activity.
  - Task lists
    Lists provide users with a way to organize their daily tasks so that they can work through them more quickly and easily.
- Defining activities overviews
  Activities overviews provide an overview of the tasks to perform, studies of interest, and pending conferences. You can modify the contents of activities overviews.
- Filtering and sorting task lists
  Task lists can contain many items. To make it easier to find a particular item in a list, you can filter the list to reduce what is displayed, or sort the list on particular column heading.
- Starting tasks, task lists, and collections
  You can navigate through tasks in several ways: you can either work through a list or a selection of tasks or randomly pick an individual task.
- Assigning tasks to yourself or to others
  Assign tasks to distribute responsibility. You can assign a task to yourself or to others.
- Prioritizing tasks
  Change the urgency of a task by changing its assigned priority.
- Starting a related task
  While working on a task or viewing a study, you can start other tasks that are linked to the original task or study.
- Adding task comments
  When reassigning or completing a task (if applicable), you can add comments about the task for the person who will perform it.
- Merging patient data
  In cases where the system cannot find a match for an imported external study, you can search for the study and manually merge in the existing patient information.
- Canceling a task
  If needed, you can cancel a task.
- Resetting a task
  Return a started or partially completed task to its original state by resetting it.
- Consulting task history
  The task history of studies provides useful background information on how, when, and by whom tasks have been done.
- My selection list
  If configured in the List area options, studies that you open, and tasks that you start, resume, or continue are added to the My selection list.
Consulting studies
You can consult studies and compare them to the active ones.
Processing orders
Order information provides procedural details relating to images being taken.
Printing procedures and study labels
You can print selected procedures as well as the study label with a barcode.
Working with procedure plans
View, modify, and switch procedure plans.
Managing attachments
Use attachments to collect and communicate additional information about the patient, study, order, report, or procedure.
Reporting
Learn how to consult patient data, and work with reports to create your diagnosis.
Reading images
To view and analyze images, use the Image area tools.
Learning and improvement
Peer learning workflows and teaching files can be used within Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging.
Scheduling events in the Calendar
Review scheduled procedures and conference sessions in the Calendar.
Radiation management
You can keep track of the total amount of radiation a patient has received.
Performing quality control
Quality control is a process of aligning the data about patients with their images, which come from different sources. Quality control is an automatic step in the unverified study workflow, but it can also be performed manually.
Accessing desktop integrations from client desktops
You can access and use third-party applications that are integrated with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging from client desktops.
Finding studies
To find studies, use either the simple or the advanced search interface.
Customizing the desktop look and feel options
Define Collaborator, list, and search options at the user, desktop, or system level.
Maintaining security and access
In Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging, sets of access-controlled features are combined into permission sets. One or more permission sets are included security roles. Security roles are assigned to users.
Troubleshooting: Log files and known limitations
Use system log files supplied with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging for basic troubleshooting.
Keyboard shortcuts
Use the keyboard shortcuts for quick access to your everyday tasks.
Testing the connection speed
Your administrator might ask you to communicate the bandwidth and latency values to optimize the configuration for your workstation in Administrator desktop.
