Voice commands: ConceptsTopic number: 1425414260586

Voice commands spoken into a dictation device can apply text formatting and punctuation, allow navigation, insert macros, and make corrections in an online speech recognition workflow.

An extensive list of default voice commands exists. These can be configured under Reporting > Voice commands. They include the following categories:

  • Formatting
  • Navigation
  • Text macro
  • Correction
  • Application control
  • Spelling

In addition, users can add their own voice commands for the text macros they create.

What can I say? voice commands

When a speech user says What can I say? into a connected speech microphone (speechmike), a dialog displays all the voice commands that can be used. This dialog is context-sensitive and shows only voice commands that can be used at that time.
