Linking featuresTopic number: 1425412583797

Linking features include anatomical navigation, dataset, and MPR.

Linking groups can contain one or more features. Each linking group is represented by a unique symbol. Some linking features implicitly include other features; if you select one of these, you are not able to select the individual ones.

For example, if you select the Spatial feature for a linking group, you cannot individually select Zoom, Rotate, or Pan.

Linking featureDescription

Anatomical navigation

Links viewports for anatomically synchronized navigation. Identical to the Autolink series tool.

Dataset

Links viewports to display the same data.

For example: In a 1x2 layout, a series is displayed in the top viewport with bone window level and with soft tissue window level in the bottom viewport.

If you link these two viewports with the Dataset feature, you can drag any other series into either one and both viewports display the new series.

This feature is useful when creating custom layouts; for example, for viewing CT studies with multiple different window level presets.

MPR

Links multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) viewports. Includes the following features:

Dataset, Window level, Spatial

Navigation time

Links viewports for navigation based on time information stored in study data (useful for time-based series such as US).

Pan

Links viewports for panning.

Rotate

Links viewports for rotation.

Spatial

Links viewports for spatial interaction. Includes the following features:

Pan, Rotate, Zoom

Window level

Links viewports for window leveling.

Zoom

Links viewports for zooming.
