You can view a validated report in one of three ways: the letter as it will be printed, the structured content, or the conclusion only. You can view a preliminary report or addendum as structured content or, if the report has been created using digital dictation, you can listen to the recording.
- In the Text area, switch to the Report tab.
- For a validated report, choose from the following options:
- View letter—A print preview of the report
- View all sections—The report’s structure
- View conclusion—The report’s conclusion
You cannot select these options for external reports.

To preset the preview mode, select and, under Preview report, select an option.Note:
When you view a validated report, data in the fields that have been added to the report template by the administrator is taken from the values available at the time of report rendering. If the data is updated after the report was validated (for example, the patient name changed after marriage), you see the new data in the report.
Data in autofill data fields in report sections does not change, even if the values have changed in the system since report validation.
- To adjust how a validated report displays in letter view, use the
viewing toolbar buttons:
Button Name Description Zoom in Magnifies the display. Zoom out Reduces the display. Fit to page Fits the document to the full size of the window. Fit to height Fits the document to the height of the window. Fit to width Fits the document to the width of the window. Original size Resets the document to its actual size. Invert Inverts the background and text colors to daylight or dark room colors. This setting is saved until changed again. Previous page Displays the previous page. Next page Displays the next page. - To listen to the digital dictation of a preliminary report, click
Play/Pause.
The content of preliminary reports created using text or speech recognition is displayed as structured content.
