- Reports: Concepts
  Reports contain one or more report sections, such as Findings and Conclusion. They can be in various statuses. They have contributors associated with them.
- Performing reading tasks
  Whether dictating with online speech recognition, digital dictation, or typing reports, you report on studies by way of reading tasks. A single reading task can contain one or more studies for which you create a single report.
- Creating a retake task
  While performing a reading task for a study with a completed acquisition task, you can create a retake task to request additional or higher quality images. Unless you specify otherwise, retake tasks are assigned according to the default task assignment rules.
- Supported reading workflows
  Standard reading workflows are supported: reading a study, creating one report for multiple studies, adding an addendum, and so on.

  Multi-author reading workflows are organized to comply with legal requirements, professional guidelines, and common practices.

- Preparing for remote reporting
  When perform reading tasks from a remote location, the connection might have a bandwidth and latency that differs from that of the hospital network. Prepare the remote system to optimize performance.

    Tag images or series of images for export, printing, or use in teaching files.
  - Saving study and task lists as a .csv file
    Before printing lists, you can first download and edit them.

Quality control is a process of aligning the data about patients with their images, which come from different sources. Quality control is an automatic step in the unverified study workflow, but it can also be performed manually.

You can access and use third-party applications that are integrated with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging from client desktops.
Finding studies
To find studies, use either the simple or the advanced search interface.
Customizing the desktop look and feel options
Define Collaborator, list, and search options at the user, desktop, or system level.
Maintaining security and access
In Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging, sets of access-controlled features are combined into permission sets. One or more permission sets are included security roles. Security roles are assigned to users.

Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging and related viewing applications have specific indications for use.

The Print and export dialog appears in all desktops, simplifying the distribution of images and reports by allowing them to be printed, faxed, emailed, saved to media, and transferred.

For example, print and export tasks allow patients to collect their medical report and film or CD at reception after the acquisition has been performed.

Print and export tasks are typically assigned to medical secretaries. This workflow benefits medical secretaries in the following ways:

Print and export tasks are created at the right moment—when the radiologists signs off the report.
When the patient is in front of them, medical secretaries can quickly find the print and export task in their task list.
At the end of the day, medical secretaries can easily see which patients did not collect their results. So they know which results to send by post.

Starting a print and export task

When you start a print and export task, the Print and export dialog is launched. You cannot start multiple print and export tasks; they can be performed only one at a time. When you are working through a list with mixed task types in the Text area and a print and export task is started automatically, you still need to launch the Print and export dialog yourself.

Completing a print and export task

As soon as an export action has been triggered in the dialog and the dialog is closed, the task is completed. The success of the export has no influence on the task status. For example, even if the printer is offline, the print and export task is marked as completed.

Resetting a print and export task

If you close the Print and export dialog without triggering any print or export action, the task is reset.

Canceling a print and export task

By clicking No print and export needed in the task toolbar, you cancel one or more selected print and export tasks. This action is available only before the print and export task is started. You cannot cancel a task from the Print and export dialog.

Creating print and export tasks

Print and export tasks can be created automatically when a report is signed off. You can also create a print and export task and assign it to yourself or to another individual or group.
