- Reports: Concepts
  Reports contain one or more report sections, such as Findings and Conclusion. They can be in various statuses. They have contributors associated with them.
- Performing reading tasks
  Whether dictating with online speech recognition, digital dictation, or typing reports, you report on studies by way of reading tasks. A single reading task can contain one or more studies for which you create a single report.
- Creating a retake task
  While performing a reading task for a study with a completed acquisition task, you can create a retake task to request additional or higher quality images. Unless you specify otherwise, retake tasks are assigned according to the default task assignment rules.
- Supported reading workflows
  Standard reading workflows are supported: reading a study, creating one report for multiple studies, adding an addendum, and so on.
- Multi-author reading workflows: Concepts
  Multi-author reading workflows are organized to comply with legal requirements, professional guidelines, and common practices.
- Preparing to report
  Perform a few simple tasks to ensure a smooth reporting experience.
- Preparing for remote reporting
  When perform reading tasks from a remote location, the connection might have a bandwidth and latency that differs from that of the hospital network. Prepare the remote system to optimize performance.
- Creating reports
  To create reports, you can use different reporting methods. You can switch report structures, apply text macros, and apply formatting. While creating reports, you can consult patient data and comparison studies.
- Implementing text macros and normal reports
  Text macros, including normal reports, allow the report author to complete reports quickly and consistently by using a single command to insert report text.
- Completing reports
  Complete your reports by sending them to a transcriptionist or correctionist, by requesting reviews, or simply by signing them off. You can also create report addendums and edit the already validated ones.
- Previewing and distributing reports
  Review what you can do once you have created your report.
  - Viewing reports
    You can view a validated report in one of three ways: the letter as it will be printed, the structured content, or the conclusion only. You can view a preliminary report or addendum as structured content or, if the report has been created using digital dictation, you can listen to the recording.
  - Print and export tasks: Concepts
    The Print and export dialog appears in all desktops, simplifying the distribution of images and reports by allowing them to be printed, faxed, emailed, saved to media, and transferred.
  - Distributing reports
    You can distribute preliminary and validated reports using a printer, post, fax, or email.
  - Printing DICOM data
    You can print DICOM data for one or more studies.
  - Transferring DICOM data
    You can transfer DICOM data to other locations, such as DICOM archives or stations.
  - Saving studies with or without their reports to other media
    You can save the images or key images of studies, with or without their reports, to media such as a USB key or DVD.
  - Creating print and export tasks
    You can create a print and export task for yourself or for someone else.
  - Performing print and export tasks
    You can be assigned a print and export task to archive studies, print DICOM data, and so forth.
  - Adding addressee information
    While completing an order or reviewing addressees, add communication methods (Distribute via) such as the referring physician’s postal address or radiologist’s email address, so that reports can be distributed.
  - Tagging images or series
    Tag images or series of images for export, printing, or use in teaching files.
  - Saving study and task lists as a .csv file
    Before printing lists, you can first download and edit them.
- Previewing reports in progress
  During reporting you can preview how reports look when distributed.
- Checking spelling and grammar in reports
  Check linguistic and grammatical correctness for report text that you have typed yourself.
Reading images
To view and analyze images, use the Image area tools.

Peer learning workflows and teaching files can be used within Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging.

You can keep track of the total amount of radiation a patient has received.
Performing quality control
Quality control is a process of aligning the data about patients with their images, which come from different sources. Quality control is an automatic step in the unverified study workflow, but it can also be performed manually.
Accessing desktop integrations from client desktops
You can access and use third-party applications that are integrated with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging from client desktops.
Finding studies
To find studies, use either the simple or the advanced search interface.
Customizing the desktop look and feel options
Define Collaborator, list, and search options at the user, desktop, or system level.
Maintaining security and access
In Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging, sets of access-controlled features are combined into permission sets. One or more permission sets are included security roles. Security roles are assigned to users.
Troubleshooting: Log files and known limitations
Use system log files supplied with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging for basic troubleshooting.

Use the keyboard shortcuts for quick access to your everyday tasks.
Testing the connection speed
Your administrator might ask you to communicate the bandwidth and latency values to optimize the configuration for your workstation in Administrator desktop.

Indications for use statement
Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging and related viewing applications have specific indications for use.

You can transfer DICOM data to other locations, such as DICOM archives or stations.

To transfer DICOM data

Do one of the following:
- Right-click a study in the List or Search area and select Print > Print and export.
- In the List or Text area, select More > Print > Print and export.
- Right-click in the Image area and select Print and export.
Switch to the DICOM transfer tab.
Clear the checkboxes of any studies you do not want to transfer.
If you select multiple studies, the selected options apply to all of them.
Select the scope.
- Study—Export the entire study.
- Key images—From the list, clear the checkboxes of any keyword categories that are not relevant.
- Tagged images or series—Tag images or series of your choice.
  This option is available only if you selected the Print and export command from the Image area.
  The Reset button clears all previous tags, allowing you to tag other images or series.
From the Destination list, select the checkboxes of one or more destinations to transfer the data to.
Possible destinations are DICOM archives, DICOM stations, and external general devices.
Click DICOM transfer or DICOM transfer & close.
A copy of the DICOM data is transferred to the selected location. A progress indicator appears in the List or Text area top toolbar and remains in view until the transfer is successfully completed or fails.

WARNING!

To ensure patient safety, the user must check the exported data before using it for diagnosis.
