You can save the images or key images of studies, with or without their reports, to media such as a USB key or DVD.
- Do one of the following:
- Right-click a study in the List or Search area and select
- In the List or Text area, select
- Right-click in the Image area and select Print and export.
- Right-click a study in the List or Search area and select
- Switch to the Save to media tab.
- Clear the checkboxes of any studies you do not want to save to
media.
If you select multiple studies, the settings apply to all of them.
If selected studies do not contain images, options are not editable.
- Select the scope.
- Study—Export the entire study
- Key images—From the list, clear the checkboxes of any keyword categories that are not relevant
- Tagged
images or series—Tag images or series of your choice.
This option is available only if you selected the Print and export command from the Image area.
The Reset button clears all previous tags, allowing you to tag other images or series.
- Select the export location.
- Save to folder—Specify
the export folder and format.
BMP and PNG images are exported lossless.
JPEG images are exported lossy with a JPEG quality of 85%.
When exporting images as a DICOM file, this includes JPEG images that are used when viewing the images in HTML. These JPEG images are exported lossy with a JPEG quality of 75%.
- Burn CD/DVD—Select the driver to use.
Note:
Data stored in any of the following formats is exported and burned compressed: Data stored in other formats is exported and burned uncompressed.

- JPEGBaseline1 (JPEG Baseline (Process 1) - 1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.50)
- Save to folder—Specify
the export folder and format.
- Select the Include report as PDF checkbox to produce two types of PDF documents: a plain PDF and an encapsulated DICOM PDF.
- Click Save to media or
Save to media & close.
The export action starts immediately and a checkmark appears. The checkmark does not mean that the export was successful; it means only that an export action was started. If the export fails, an error message is displayed.
When the export is successful, a confirmation message appears.
