Image calibration: OverviewTopic number: 1425412238650
Some images do not contain sufficient information to accurately translate dimensions from pixels to real-world measurements. Before measuring areas on such images, you must calibrate them.
Whenever calibration information is not sufficient or some specific form of calibration has been applied, for all markups and the image ruler, the unit of measurement is suffixed with a calibration code.
Calibration codes
[ERMF] | The Estimated Radiographic Magnification Factor (ERMF) is used. |
[GSPS] | The image is calibrated according to the Image Pixel Spacing stored in the loaded presentation state. |
[proj] | The image only contains Imager Pixel Spacing information. |
[ermf???] | Calibration problem: ERMF, Imager Pixel Spacing, or Image Pixel Spacing inconsistent. |
[???] | Calibration problem: Only Image Pixel Spacing available. |
[user-image], [user-series] | User calibration is in effect on the image or series level. |
unit of measurement = "pix", no suffix | Image not calibrated. |
![]() | WARNING! Calibration errors can lead to wrong diagnosis. Manual calibration is the responsibility of the user. |
