Among the new features in the Diagnostic Desktop for Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging release 8.1.4.020 are a chronological overview of all comparison studies for the active patient gathered in one place, a Text area option to filter downloaded studies, and improvements to peer learning workflows.

More efficient viewing of comparison studies in the Text area

You can configure the Text area, to view all comparison studies in one spot. You can filter the list of comparison studies by type to focus on those you need most.

Peer learning workflow for multiple reviews and comparison studies

  • You can request an additional review for a case you are reviewing.
    If you select:
    • Send for review, the current case review task is completed. A case review task is created, and assigned automatically to a default assignee or assignment group.

      Your system administrator can configure Enterprise Imaging to ensure that the new case review task is not assigned to the author or to anyone who previously reviewed the case.

    • Send for review with options, the current case review task is completed. A new case review task is created. You can specify to which assignee or assignment group the new task is assigned, set a task priority, and add a task comment with extra information.

In the Text area, you can select a preferred layout for each of the following tasks.

Adding discussion tasks to a conference

If you right-click a study to add a discussion task to a conference, and a large number of conferences is available, the Add to conference dialog is displayed immediately.

To select the appropriate conference, in the Add to conference field, start typing the name of the conference. Then, select it form the list of suggestions.

Preventing manual linking of studies that do not need a report

To avoid making reports (for example, for scheduled studies, studies that never need a report, canceled studies), require that studies can only be added (manually and automatically) to a report when there is a non-started reading task assigned.

If you only create a reading task at the time it is needed, you can no longer make mistakes in linking studies to a report. Nor will the application automatically link studies that shouldn’t be linked.

The options Show checkboxes to add studies from any order to the report and Automatically add studies from the same order when starting a reading task(previously called Add studies to the reading task) are available under Tools > Options > Text.
