Release 8.1.4.030: New in Diagnostic DesktopTopic number: 1576657627655

The Diagnostic Desktop for Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging release 8.1.4.030 includes improvements to Text area layouts, support for ASCII external reports, and support for order patient IDs in multi-site environments.

Highlight current Text area layout

To make it easier to identify which Text area layout is currently being used, you can see the name of the current layout when you select Text area > Reset current layout. When you open the Select Layout dialog, the current layout is highlighted.

See Text area: Take a tour and Switching Text area layouts.

Sign-off and addendum reading for ASCII external reports

For reports in ASCII format created outside Enterprise Imaging, as in a migration scenario or if generated by a third-party reporting engine, you can create addenda, start verify report tasks, sign off the report, and delete the report. As soon as you act on the report, it is treated the same way as reports created in Enterprise Imaging.

To ensure that your workstation is configured for processing external ASCII reports, contact your system administrator.

Support for order patient IDs in multi-site environments

In multi-site environments, a patient can have multiple patient IDs. By displaying the original patient ID assigned to an order by the ordering facility, the radiologist, the referring physician, and other hospital staff can easily identify the patient when communicating with each other.

To see the original patient ID, you can configure:

  • The Patient name and Order patient ID column in the List and Search areas
  • The Order patient ID column in the List and Search areas, and QC dialog
  • The Order patient ID field in the Text area

Your administrator can add the Order patient ID field to templates for reports, labels, study, and task lists.

See Customizing fields and Customizing study list and other columns.

Displaying the procedure accession number in e-Questionnaires

Your administrator can enable the procedure accession number in e-Questionnaires. Displaying the accession number helps the user easily identify to which procedure an e-Questionnaire is related.

See Adding, modifying, and removing documents.

Making identifying information anonymous

You can launch the Image area using de-identification mode, which makes the identifying information about patients anonymous. In the List and Text areas, identifying data is replaced, if anyonymous replacement text is supplied, or hidden.

The Show DICOM information for image and Print and export tools are disabled when de-identification mode is active.

Viewing changes in study history

Rather than having to close and then reopen the History tab in Text area to view the latest changes, just click Refresh. Refresh

See Viewing the history of studies.

Running Enterprise Imaging desktops in a Citrix environment

The Enterprise Imaging desktops can run in a Citrix environment. This provides you with virtual and remote access to Diagnostic Desktop functionality. For example, you can work remotely to attend conferences or review studies.
