Understanding projection methodsTopic number: 1425412698801
Curved planes can be visualized with three distinct projection methods.
You can change the projection method for a CPR view in the CPR panel of the series toolbar.
Projection method | Description |
---|---|
Projected (a) | The curved plane is projected onto the view plane. |
Stretched (b) | The curved plane is stretched for display in the view plane. |
Straightened (c) | The full CPR line defining the curved plane is straightened onto the view plane. |
Not strictly a projection method, but also toggled in the series toolbar is the CPR display method Cross section. The cross section views show slices from a reconstructed series. These slices are orthogonal to the CPR line, and the first and last slice of the series correspond to the beginning and the end of the CPR line.
