Displaying the image at its actual sizeTopic number: 1425412622564
Use the Zoom true size zoom mode to display images at their actual size. This is possible only if your monitors are calibrated.
![]() | WARNING! The true size display requires correct monitor configuration. Wrong monitor settings can lead to incorrect measurements and might jeopardize patient safety. Your diagnostic monitors must be configured by your PACS administrator or an Agfa representative. |
Use the Zoom true size tool to display an image at its actual size, according to available image information.
- If you have calibrated the image, the calibration factor is used to determine the actual size.
- If not, pixel spacing determines the actual size, if available (as it typically is with CT and MR images).
- Otherwise, if an Estimated Radiographic Magnification Factor (ERMF) is available and enabled, it is taken into account in presenting XA, RF, DX, and MG images at actual size.
To display the image at its actual size
In the Image area top toolbar, zoom list, click Zoom true size.

If not enough information is available to display the image at true size, Zoom true size is grayed, and the zoom cannot be applied.
