Downloading images manuallyTopic number: 1425414929808

If using My selection or other lists that do not have automatic image download enabled, you can manually download images in advance of performing reading tasks from home or from another remote location. Once in your local cache, images are displayed faster.

To download images manually
  1. Do one of the following:
    • In the List or Search areas, select one or more tasks or studies for which to download images.
    • In the Text area, select one or more studies in the active or comparison studies list for which to download images.
    • In the Image area, click the patient banner and select a study in the active or comparison studies list for which to download images.
  2. Right-click and select Download now.

Images for tasks or studies at the top of the selection are retrieved first. However, prior studies are not downloaded.

If automatic image download is enabled and you click Download now or Assign to me for a selection of tasks/studies, the images for this selection are downloaded first.

Tip:

To see which images have already been downloaded, in the Lists, Search, or Text areas, right-click a column header and select Customize columns. If needed, make the column Image availability visible.

The following icons are used to indicate image availability:
  • No icon—Studies are in the local cache or in a location with fast download speed.
  • Moderate speed—Studies are in a location with moderate download speed.
  • —Studies are in a location with slow download speed.
