Downloading images automaticallyTopic number: 1425414928355
Unless you are using shared worklists, we recommend that you download the images before performing reading tasks from remote locations.
If you have the required permissions, you can set this up to be done automatically for specific lists. Otherwise, your administrator can assist. Once in your local cache, images are displayed faster.

If working remotely, check with your administrator whether automatic image retrieval is enabled for your workstation group.
- Right-click a task list in the Details section of your activities
overview and select Edit.
If you are unable to do this, you do not have the required permissions. Ask your administrator to configure this for you.
- Select the Automatic image download checkbox.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the steps for any other task list in the Details section.
If the list is configured to collect tasks assigned to the login user, images are retrieved automatically when you assign a task to yourself.
The images for the tasks within this task list are downloaded automatically to your local cache while you are logged in if the task list is part of your current activities overview. Images for the tasks at the top of the list are downloaded first. If images are downloaded for multiple task lists, the images for the top task list in the Details section are downloaded first.
![]() | Note: Use automatic image download when the image acquisition location is different from the location where the images are read, such as teleradiology. |
