Perform group review of the peer learning cases submitted for discussion at conferences.

Prerequisite
You are the conference presenter.
To discuss peer learning cases at a conference
  1. In the Conferences section of Activities overviews, select the conference.
  2. To start a discussion task, do one of the following:
    • On the List area toolbar, click Start list, then select Start discussion in the Text area or click Start discussion Start discussion in the Image area.

      All discussion tasks are loaded in the cycle list in the Text area. When a discussion task is complete, you automatically go to the next one.

    • On the List area toolbar, click Start discussion, or right-click a task and select Start discussion.

      Only the selected task is opened.

    If de-identification was enabled for the current conference to maintain objectivity and prevent bias, sensitive information in the following fields is replaced with asterisks:

    • Patient ID
    • Patient name
    • Accession number (study level)
    • Report author
    • Report signed by
    • Report contributor
    • Reading physician
    • Case submitter

    The History link in the Text area is also disabled.

    To display the de-identified data for studies, click Show identifiers. To hide data again, click Hide identifiers.

    Important!

    De-identification is not yet supported when sharing your screen during the conference. In case you need to share your screen during a conference with colleagues in other locations, we recommend using a video conferencing tool instead.
  3. To switch between views to show more or fewer fields, on the Peer learning tab, select one of the following:
    • Introduction—Default. Contains basic information about the case, such as a narrative.
    • Discussion—Contains fields that are used to register peer learning conference comments.
    • Details—Can be selected only by using the Ctrl + F11 keyboard shortcut. Contains detailed data about the case.
  4. Review the information on the Peer learning tab.

    Review study images and the report, if available.

  5. Complete and edit fields on the Peer learning tab, as necessary.
    Example:
    For example, on the Peer learning tab, select Discussion and add comments under Observations and Peer learning conference comments.
  6. To complete a discussion task, click one of the following:

    Close caseYou can close the case, if no other actions must be performed for the current case.

    Needs follow-up

    Needs follow-up with options

    If follow-up or corrective action are required, create a case follow-up task.

    If you select Needs follow-up, a case follow-up task is created and assigned automatically to a default assignee or assignment group.

    If you select Needs follow-up with options, you specify to which assignee or assignment group a case follow-up task is assigned.

    Once necessary actions are taken, the case can be closed.

    Discuss case at conferenceYou can submit a case to be discussed at another conference.
    Reject caseReject a case if you do not see any learning opportunity. The study with a rejected case is tagged with the Case rejected keyword that has the value True.

  • Can add studies to conferences I participate in
  • Can close cases
  • Can create case feedback tasks
  • Can create case follow-up tasks
  • Can overrule conference-level de-identification
  • Can reject cases
