Prioritizing an orderTopic number: 1425411816772

Change the priority of an order when necessary to ensure that it is processed in a timely manner.

To prioritize an order
  1. Find the patient whose order is to be reprioritized.
  2. Right-click the patient record and select Edit Order.
  3. On the Order info tab, from the Order priority list, select Routine (or Low), Normal, High, Urgent, and STAT.

    Note:

    The order priority values can be customized by your administrator and can differ from the set of default ones.
  4. Click Save & close. Save & close

High priorities are placed at the top of the list, and Low at the bottom.
