Add a procedure to an order by selecting it from a catalog of predefined procedures that are linked to different modality types and body parts.

The added procedure can be edited until it is linked to a validated report.

To add a procedure to an order
  1. In the List or Search area, do one of the following:
    • Right-click a procedure and select Start order review.
    • Right-click a procedure and click Order > Edit order.
  2. On the Order info tab, under Procedures, select the last row of the procedures table.
  3. Type or search for the Procedure name or code.
  4. As appropriate, select a Department, Acquisition room, and Scheduled study date/time.
  5. Under Procedure details, type the Reason for study, if known.

    Tip:

    When you add multiple procedures to an order and you want to reuse the same reason for study for all procedures, select the Apply the reason for study to all procedures checkbox.

    This checkbox is only visible during order review if the Order review layout is used.

  6. To add another procedure, repeat these steps.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • If you are performing an order review task, click Reviewed.
    • If you editing an order, click Save & close.

The new procedure is saved along with the order.

Required permissions:
  • Can edit order
  • Can replace scheduled procedure
  • Can replace unscheduled procedure
