Switching procedure plans Topic number: 1425415154375

To focus on another body part, modality type, or procedure definition, you can switch to another procedure plan. All related tasks and data entered are included in the switch.

For example, you can switch from the default procedure plan to a more specific one.

The system automatically suggests the closest matching procedure plans according to context of use. If the new procedure plan contains identical procedure steps, these steps and related data remain.

To switch procedure plans
  1. In the Text area, study tab, Procedure plan line:
    • Click Switch.
    • or
    • Click View, then Switch procedure plan.

The Switch Procedure Plan dialog displays the five most relevant active procedures.

  2. If needed, for more options, click Search other.

Results are displayed in the lower pane sorted by procedure name. You can filter the list if needed. Filter

  3. Select a new procedure plan and click Switch.

When switching procedure plans, tasks are created, removed, or kept. Added tasks are compared with the old procedure plan and are created with corresponding data. Tasks that are the same in both procedure plans are unchanged.
