Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging Collaborator is an instant messaging communication tool that appears by default on all desktops to facilitate text messaging and information sharing between patients, hospital staff, and family doctors.
What is Collaborator?
Agfa HealthCare Enterprise ImagingCollaborator is an instant messaging tool that supports instant online communication (chat) and allows physicians to share the Image area desktop with other contacts.
Who appears in the default contacts list?
By default, two contact groups—Recent contacts and Frequent contacts—appear in the contact list.
You do not have to manually add new contacts or remove inactive ones from the default groups. However, you can create your own groups and add contacts to them. When necessary, you can copy or move contacts to groups you create, using drag and drop or the context menu.
How do I start a chat session?
Double-click a contact from the list, type your message, and click the Enter key on your keyboard. If you cannot see your contact in the list, click OK.

How do I start a group chat session?
Select
.In the Group chat rooms dialog, complete the fields. Select participants
in the Available users panel, and click Add.
Then click Invite.
The invited users can accept or decline the invitation.
What are custom and default groups?
To categorize contacts, you can create custom groups in the contact list, in addition to the system defaults. Each group has a name and contains one or more contacts, who can also be removed from the group.
Two default groups—Frequent contacts and Recent contacts—cannot be removed. They always remain at the top of the list. Frequent contacts are those you chat with most often. Recent contacts are the last 10 contacts you chatted with.
To filter contacts in your contact list, start typing in the Quick filter field at the bottom of the Collaborator screen.
How do I send a broadcast message?
Select
and in the Broadcast dialog, type your message and select the recipients. A broadcast message is a message sent to many others. You can select a group or multiple contacts to receive a broadcast message.How do I invite someone to a chat that I have already started?
If you are in a text chat with a chat partner, you cannot invite someone to join the chat. Instead, follow the steps described in the question How do I start a group chat session?
How do I share a screen capture?
In the list, double-click your online contact. In the Contact dialog, click
the Capture icon . Collaborator is hidden temporarily. To define
the portion of the screen to capture, drag the crosshairs, then click to complete the
capture. Collaborator then reappears and sends the capture.
How can I send a file to my chat partner?
Drag the file from your desktop or File manager to the open chat window, or right-click a user in the contact list and select Send a file, then select a file and click Open. After you send the file, your chat partner can accept or decline the file.
The system administrator determines whether you are allowed to send and receive files and, if so, whether virus scanning is enabled.
How do I share a study?
Open the study with images to be shared in the Text area and start a session by double-clicking a contact. In the toolbar, click Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging XERO Xtend. A URL is generated and sent to your session partner.
How do I share images?
You can share images by clicking the Image share icon in the Collaborator toolbar. Tools and functionality closely resemble that of the Image area. The resolution of the images appears to others the same as that of the presenter. Any users in the session can take control of the session by clicking the Claim control icon.

How do I set a status message?
In the Collaborator main window, under your name, select the status from the drop-down list: Online, Away or Do not disturb.
When hovering over or double-clicking a contact name, you see the contact’s status. If a contact logged off, the status is Offline.
Can I send a message to an offline contact?

Can I view past sessions with a contact?
Yes. In the Collaborator main window, right-click the contact and select View last activity or View contact history. Session history is saved locally for each contact. You can view your session history on your working station and delete the local record of it.
How do I overlay the Collaborator window?
By default, the Collaborator window stays on top.
To control whether or not the Collaborator window overlays other windows, in the Collaborator windows, click Collaborator and select or clear the Always on top checkbox.
