You can create and edit teaching files from the List, Text, Search, or Image areas.

Prerequisite
  • A teaching file archive is configured.
  • You have the correct permissions to create and edit teaching files. For more information, contact your system administrator.
To create teaching files
  1. To create a teaching file, do one of the following:
    • In List area or Search area, select a task or study. Right-click, and select Create teaching file.
    • In Text area, from the active or comparison study list, right-click a study and select Create teaching file.
    • In Image area, click the patient banner. Then, right-click a study in the active or comparison study list and select Create teaching file.

    The New Teaching File screen opens and the relevant images are opened in Image area.

    Tip:

    Instead of right-clicking, you can also select an item, and from the top toolbar, select More > Create teaching file.

  2. Complete the required Title, Abstract, and Keywords fields.
  3. Complete any additional fields in the Overview and Details section.

    Note:

    Depending on your configuration, the fields Keywords, Anatomy, and Pathology present values in either a list or a tree structure.
  4. Tag images or series of your choice to include in the teaching file. Refer to the topic on tagging images and series.
  5. Click Create.

The teaching file is created and added to the teaching file archive.

Required permissions:
  • Can access Search area
  • Can add/edit teaching files
  • Can search and view teaching files
