Reporting using a third-party reporting applicationTopic number: 1425415053806

When a third-party reporting application is integrated with Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging, you can start your report or addendum reading and sign-off task in Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging and create or sign off your report or addendum in the third-party reporting application.

The most common integration scenario is one where Enterprise Imaging and the third-party reporting application have been configured to each in turn smoothly transition to the next step in the workflow.

To report using a third-party reporting application
  1. In the List area, start a reading task or a list of reading tasks.
  2. Create your report in the third-party reporting application.
  3. Optionally, link additional studies to the report.
  4. In the third-party reporting application, mark your report with the appropriate status.
    Example:
    Preliminary, Final, and so on

    Note:

As long as the report has not been received in Enterprise Imaging, the status is Waiting for external report.
  5. The third-party reporting application returns the report to Enterprise Imaging:
    • When Enterprise Imaging receives the preliminary report from the third-party reporting application, a sign-off task is created.
    • When Enterprise Imaging receives the validated report from the third-party reporting application, you can start an addendum task.

    Your task list is updated.

    • If you started multiple tasks, the next task is started automatically.
    • If you started a single task, you are returned to the List area.

Tip:

If you configure Study view in the Text area layout for your reading tasks, you will have the Study tab on top in the Text area if there is no scanned order available while performing the reading task.

Note:

If the third-party reporting application supports single sign on and the same user ID and user password combination exist in both Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging and the third-party reporting application, you can have the third-party reporting application start automatically without re-authenticating when starting the first task.
