Order review tasks are assigned automatically based on task assignment rules configured by your administrator. You can also create and start an order review task yourself, even during acquisition.
You can perform an order review task for only one study at a time.
While performing an order review task, you might encounter the following issues:
Issue | Solution |
---|---|
The pregnancy status is reverted once a procedure or procedure plan is changed. | Update the pregnancy status after you change a procedure or procedure plan. |
The information about the previous patient and study is shown when you start a new order review task for another patient. | Wait a few seconds for the information to be updated and for the correct patient to be shown. |
An exception error appears. | Close the error dialog and continue your order review task. |
- To display the order review tasks assigned to you, from the To do list,
select the Order review tasks feed.
This task feed is visible only if you have configured it for your Activities overview.
- To start an order review task, right-click the task and select
Start order review.
To start an ad hoc order review task, find an order and select
. - On the Order info tab, review the reason for study, the procedure
plan, and other data.
In the Review column of the Procedures table, you can see the status of the order review task for the active study (one for which the checkbox in the Task column is selected), and other studies that are listed if the active study belongs to a multi-procedure order:

When you add multiple procedures to an order and you want to reuse the same reason for study for all procedures, select the Apply the reason for study to all procedures checkbox.
This checkbox is only visible during order review if the Order review layout is used.
- Make necessary changes, such as replacing a procedure definition,
switching a procedure plan, adding products, documents, or comments, and others.
Important!
Some external orders cannot be edited. If you do not agree with the procedure plan in an order and you cannot edit it, we recommend that you contact the ordering physician. - To complete the order review task, click Reviewed.
If you change a procedure, and a procedure plan was earlier assigned to this procedure manually, this procedure plan stays unchanged.
If required, you must manually switch the procedure plan to match the current procedure. Procedure plans that were not assigned to procedures manually fall back to default automatically.
When procedures are updated, a new order review task can be triggered, if the workflow is configured by your administrator.
- To reset an order review task, click Save
changes and reset task.
The current order review task reappears in the To do list with the Assigned status.
All changes made to the order are saved.
